I’m writing about none other than the basking shark. But, I think the more we learn about basking sharks, the more we will find them both endearing and fascinating. A 2013 study found they can have bursts of speed up to 11 mph and are even able to jump (breach) out of the water. It’s a shark. But, it doesn’t use teeth to eat.
