Bay Journal: Pennsylvania's State Water Plan Points To New Challenges

The state legislature required the new water plan, which was prepared by the Department of Environmental Protection with the guidance of more than 100 public and private stakeholders. Between 2009 and 2021, daily withdrawals of water in the state decreased by 33%, mostly because of coal-fired power plants closing.

PA Envirothon Names Greg Bonsall New Executive Director

DEP Issues NOVs To Roulette Oil & Gas LLC For Abandoning Another Conventional Well In Potter County; Roulette Applying For Oil & Gas Wastewater Injection Well Permit

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the February 4 PA Bulletin inviting comments on draft stream evaluation reports for Slab Cabin Run in Centre County and Lycoming Creek and Lycoming, Tioga and Sullivan Counties. DEP is recommending much of the stream be designated Exceptional Value Waters.
