The Golden State has adopted a slew of climate change laws over the past twenty years, and an even greater number of regulations. 2006 AB 32. 2006 AB 32. 2016 SB 32. That would be even more obvious if the timeline included the host of less notable, but still significant, laws passed during the same time period.

On September 2, 2016, the Texas Supreme Court agreed to review three oil and gas cases involving issues pertinent to the industry and land and mineral owners. Red Deer has been set for oral argument on November 10, 2016. Laddex has been set for oral argument on October 11, 2016. BP America Production Company v. Laddex, Ltd.

Back in 2016 I wrote a long post about biodiesel , explaining what it is made from (mostly vegetable oil) and arguing that EPA should show restraint in setting targets for biodiesel because of the limited availability oils and fats and the harmful consequences of drawing too heavily from these limited sources.

The state of Minnesota uses EPA’s ethylene oxide emissions standards, which haven’t been updated since 2006. 2006)- Plurality decision which includes test adopted by Justice Kennedy known as the “significant nexus test” which extended federal jurisdiction to non-adjacent wetlands. Hawkes (2016)- Allows challenges in court to jurisdictional decisions (JDs) issued by the ACOE. Ohio did enact protections of wetlands beyond the CWA.
