At CLEE, we are doing quite a bit of work to promote reduction of methane emissions from all sectors (agriculture (livestock and rice), energy (oil & gas and coal), waste (landfills and sewage)). animal stomachs, shale gas formations, piles of food waste). While France was the only one whose NDC included comprehensive measures to reduce food loss and waste. The report stated unequivocally, for the first time, that climate change is occurring due to “human influence,” namely the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation. I’m Eileen Wray-McCann. The deforestation accord is especially encouraging because it has so many side benefits. The companies involved also pledged to cut their emissions as part of this initiative.
