California’s fleet of commercial trucks and buses is responsible for an outsized impact on air quality and climate change. This is roughly the equivalent of taking 66 million fossil-fueled cars off the road for an entire year. There are more than 1.8 pollution from vehicles. The rule would also reduce NOx and PM2.5
