‘Smart bandage’ may help solve a major problem when treating chronic wounds

A new study presents a smart bandage that can measure and wirelessly transmit wound moisture data in real time. We also incorporated a cheap, disposable and bandage-compatible RFID tag, similar to those used for clothing security tags, into the textile patch. The technology could be a useful tool in treating chronic wounds.
