These projects resulted in proposed solutions that could save the companies $3,068,000 annually as well as significant environmental impacts.

European Researchers warned that climate change could reanimate frozen "zombie viruses" and expose humans to lethal diseases. The virus they brought back to life had been frozen for more than 50,000 years.

On November 30, 2022, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) issued a final rule listing the northern long-eared bat (NLEB) ( Myotis septentrionalis ) as an endangered species under Section 4 of the Endangered Species Act (ESA), reclassifying it from its former threatened status and rescinding its section 4(d) rule.
