Frontiers announces first journal acquisition: Oncology Reviews

The open-access publisher Frontiers has acquired the journal Oncology Reviews from PAGEPress. The acquisition marks a significant milestone for Frontiers. It is the first journal the publisher has acquired since it was founded in 2007. Oncology Reviews is also Frontiers’ first proprietary Reviews journal, aiming to publish highly impactful reviews, thought-provoking editorials and opinion pieces.

Glassy globules found on the Moon

The Moon’s highlands may be scattered with transparent globules of a glass-like substance, say scientists involved in China’s Chang’e-4 mission. Initial observations from the mission’s Yutu-2 rover suggest that these structures are widespread, and their presence could help us better understand the early history of lunar impacts as well as providing sampling targets for future expeditions to the lunar surface.

Sinnemahone Paddle Draws 81 Competitors In Cameron County; First Of Triple Crown Events

Mother nature cooperated bringing water to the Driftwood Branch of the Sinnemahoning Creek on Thursday days before the Sinnemahone Paddle event in Cameron County Organizers say contingency plans were in place but not needed. More than 80 registered for the 12 mile race from near the Emporium Country Club to Driftwood. Emergency services report no incidents.
