Scientists find that using the heritage language at home, in daily life, is important to retaining it, but that some of the language skills which are most vulnerable — like vocabulary — are improved by visits to the country of origin.

Cameron County Sinnemahone Triple Crown Gravel Bike Race Results; Ultra Marathon Trail Run Set For Oct. 21

The Cameron County Chamber of Commerce hosted the Sinnemahone Gravel Bike Race Saturday September 23. More than 80 riders took to the gravel roads in Elk State Forest. Participants came from Oklahoma, New York, Maryland, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. Riders had their choice of a 14 mile course, 26 or 55 miles. The first place female in the race was Melissa McCracken from Warren, PA.
