On August 9, the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority announced it would be committing to the purchase of wind power and the use of clean energy to support the production and operations of water services. PWSA holds the largest share at 30% of the total, underlining our strong commitment to sustainable energy practices.

Ontario has a large potential supply of wind and solar energy that could be developed to help phase-out dirty gas plants. It estimated that we would need an additional 843 MW of solar and an additional 4,545 MW of wind capacity (along with a basket of other sources) to ensure the province’s energy needs are met. .
