For each NDC we reviewed, we searched for the keywords “blue carbon,” “carbon sink,” “wetland,” “mangrove,” “saltmarsh,” “seagrass”, as well as broader terms such as “blue economy” and “ocean”. Relevant phrases from NDCs, including these terms, were extracted and analyzed. Australia is another example.
