In October 2021, EPA said it planned to issue a proposed rule in 2023 that could result in revisions to the decaBDE rule as well as the rules for the other four PBT substances. The second bill, AB 1200 , prohibits distribution, sale, or offering for sale of food packaging that contains regulated PFAS beginning on January 1, 2023.
