Guest Commentary: An Unexpected Success for Czech Climate Litigation

In April 2021, a group of Czech citizens filed a case against the national government for its inaction on climate change. Therefore, the applicants sought protection against the alleged continuing “unlawful interference”, which should have commenced in 2017 when the Czech Republic became a party to the Paris Agreement.
