Sea level in the IPCC 6th assessment report (AR6)

Real Climate

During the most recent period analyzed, 2006-2018, it’s been rising at a rate of 3.7 We would see massive coastal erosion happening all around. Since 1901 sea level has risen by 20 cm, a rise unprecedented in at least 3,000 years (disclosure: I co-authored some of the research behind the latter conclusion). Source: IPCC AR6 Fig.
