Low-carbon power is expected to bend the emissions curve

By Anders Lorenzen Analysis from the International Energy Agency (IEA) predicts that the rise in renewable energy technologies such as solar and wind as well as nuclear energy is to dominate the growth in global power supply over the course of the next three years. This will curb the emissions impact of greater energy use. The IEA report found that the share of wind and solar in the power generation mix is expected to rise to 35% in 2025 up from 29% in 2022.

Biden Administration Moves Forward with Phase 2 of NEPA Rule Revisions

On January 30, 2023, Phase 2 of the Biden Administration’s rule making revisions to Nation Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) were sent by the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Once OMB completes its review the proposed rule will be published in the Federal Register for public comment. The proposed rules are expected to be released sometime this spring.
