Thanks in large measure to natural gas replacing coal, the International Energy Agency (IEA) forecasts carbon emissions in 2040 to be lower than in almost all of the IPCC scenarios. Carbon emissions are thus following the same trajectory as other air pollutants. Renewables have the same impact everywhere in the world.
