EPA is developing a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to designate PFOA and PFOS as Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) “hazardous substances” for Spring 2022.

Preliminary 2020 TRI Dataset Shows “Seemingly Limited” Scope for PFAS Reporting. EPA Sought Information to Inform Regulation of 1-Bromopropane as Hazardous Air Pollutant. The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020 requires EPA to promulgate this rule by January 1, 2023.
