USFWS: Citing the impacts of white-nose syndrome on the species, the US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) is proposing classifying the northern long-eared bat ( Myotis septentrionalis ) as an endangered species. The species is currently protected under the Endangered Species Act as a threatened species.
