On October 25, the Natural Resources Defense Council released a new report that found adoption of the Advanced Clean Trucks standard for medium and heavy duty trucks in Pennsylvania can avoid 140 premature deaths and create 3,524 new jobs. The report was prepared by ERM and commissioned by NRDC and the Union of Concerned Scientists.

Moving the requirement for 100 percent zero-emissions HDV sales up to 2036 from 2040 would result in more than 130,000 additional electric trucks on the road in 2050, according to research recently contracted by the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) and the Natural Resources Defense Council.
