Cultural Heritage is a Human Right. Climate Change is Fast Eroding It.

In 2016, the Human Rights Council declared that damage to cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible, of any people, constitutes damage to the cultural heritage of humanity as a whole. Flooding, coastal erosion, wildfires, thawing permafrost, and extreme weather events are causing unprecedented loss and damage of places and customs.
