Gamma-ray detector helps archaeologists, honey sweetens neuromorphic computing

Physics World

This was done by detecting gamma radiation emitted during the natural decay of elements in these materials – which can be measured up to one metre under the ground. This means that the device is partly biodegradable and that it would be easy to recycle. They also showed that the device could be dissolved in water.

There are 90 MCLs, including for specific chemicals, microbes, and properties such as radiation. Incineration, thermal desorption, chemical stabilization, landfarming (biodegradation), and offsite landfilling are some options. But what do you do with it after it's dug up?
