There are only 6 NAAQS - ozone, carbon monoxide, particulates, lead, sulfur dioxides, and nitrogen dioxides - but they dominate most air quality concerns ranging from smog to health effects, such as from particulates and lead. We are also trying to recycle wastewater sludges for fertilizer, but there are similar issues.
