The documents the Journal obtained show that in 2012, ExxonMobil sought to gather information about and exert influence over the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). As it did with its vehicle emissions standards and its 100 percent renewable energy standard , California can set the pace for national and global action.
