Particle physicists gather at CERN to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Higgs boson discovery

The event took place in the very same venue in which the ATLAS and CMS collaborations at the LHC announced on 4 July 2012 the discovery of a new particle with features consistent with that of the Higgs boson. The third run of the LHC will last until 2025. HL-LHC is expected to begin in 2029 and operate until 2041.
