In 2015, the Obama administration announced that it would ban chlorpyrifos, but former EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt reversed that decision in 2017. Fish and Wildlife Service biologists, concluding that chlorpyrifos jeopardizes the survival over 1,200 endangered species. The proposed rule is open for public comment through Oct.
