NRDC Launches Ads to Support Climate Standards

These proposed EPA standards target the two largest sources of carbon emissions.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council) launched a more than $250,000 ad campaign today to highlight the importance of new standards to cut climate pollution from power plants, cars, and trucks.

These proposed EPA standards target the two largest sources of carbon emissions—and build on the historic investments passed by Congress last year that will support clean energy and cleaner vehicles.

"It's time to implement critical rules to cut power plant pollution," one ad says. Strong tailpipe pollution standards will "protect our children and future," says another.

The ads will run through June in Beltway publications and online in the Washington area and states across the country including Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina, and Virginia.
