Transport ‘largest sector by far’ using PFAS: ‘crucial for the rail industry’

A restriction on the usage of PFAS, a group of widely used chemicals that are increasingly controversial due to health risks, is set to be one of the largest ever on chemical substances in the European Union. Transport is the “largest sector by far” using PFAS, shows a report for producers of the chemical compound. Sector organisation UNIFE will ask for derogations, as its “crucial for the rail supply industry”.
