For sustainability investors, there are plenty of shiny objects to pay attention to right now. Finding the next opportunity in renewables, or jumping into the electrification of transport, or advanced batteries, among others. These are exciting growth areas that many infrastructure investors are focusing in on at the moment.

But while those opportunities are attention-grabbing, what many of us are increasingly finding is that there are potentially equally compelling opportunities and real needs for new innovations and infrastructure in the waste end of the economy.
