Geverola Quoted in Global Competition Review on First No-Poach Agreement Prosecution

Antitrust partner Andre Geverola was quoted in the recent Global Competition Review article, “DOJ Secures No-Poach Sentencing.” The article discusses the Department of Justice, Antitrust Division’s first criminal conviction in a labor-market antitrust case.
Geverola stated that although the guilty plea by the defendant company is an important win for the DOJ, the DOJ’s success is more dependent on whether it can convict the individual defendant in this case. In September, Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco emphasized that prosecuting individuals responsible for corporate crime is the DOJ’s “top priority.”
