The Chesapeake Bay Foundation issued the following statement from Pennsylvania Executive Director Shannon Gority, after Gov.Tom Wolf signed the $40.8 billion General Fund budget proposal for fiscal year 2021-22. Ms. Gority said: “This budget is a missed opportunity. A portion of the federal American Rescue Plan money should be used to restore and protect Pennsylvania’s rivers and streams, improve the productivity of farms, and reduce nuisance flooding in our communities.
