On January 31, the President signed an executive order to unleash prosperity through deregulation by requiring every federal agency to eliminate 10 regulations, rules or guidance documents for every new regulation they adopt. It requires that for fiscal year 2025, the total incremental cost of all new regulations, including repealed regulations, be significantly less than zero.
