Centre County Recycling & Refuse Authority Collects 44,000 Pounds Of Household Hazardous Waste; 2 Miles Of Fluorescent Tubes

On April 29 and 30, the Centre County Recycling and Refuse Authority collected approximately 44,000 pounds of hazardous material and nearly two miles of fluorescent tubes during a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event. 761 vehicles brought hazardous chemicals to the annual free drop off event. Residents from 32 of the county’s 35 municipalities participated.
