DCNR Conservation & Natural Resources Advisory Council Hosts May 22 Webinar On Sustaining The State Park, Forest System And Growing PA's Outdoor Recreation Economy

The DCNR
Conservation and Natural Resources Advisory Council will hold another in its series of CNRAC Conservations May 22 on Sustaining the State Park and Forest System for a Growing Outdoor Recreation Economy from Noon to 1:00 p.m.

Moderated by CNRAC Chair, Silas Chamberlin, the session will explore the growing demand for outdoor recreation on DCNR lands as well as the needs for recreation infrastructure that is safe, accessible, and ecologically-sensitive.

The webinar will also examine a case study of a DCNR construction project for the Visitor Center and Park Office at Hickory Run State Park in Carbon County.

The panel of speakers will include--

-- Marci Mowery, President, Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation;

-- Nathan Reigner, Director, Pennsylvania Office of Outdoor Recreation;

-- Michael Twigg, Division Chief, Division of Environmental Engineering and Architecture, Bureau of Facility Design and Construction, DCNR; and

-- Chris Kemmerer, Section Chief, Education and Interpretation Section, Bureau of State Parks, DCNR.
