Riemenschneider Featured by Bloomberg Law in Inaugural ‘40 Under 40’ List

July 14, 2021

Bloomberg Law featured Arnold & Porter partner Kristen Riemenschneider in its inaugural edition of "They've Got Next: The 40 Under 40," which recognizes "the accomplishments of sterling young lawyers nationwide." The commended attorneys were selected for their records of success with clients and their leadership contributions to their firms and communities. Riemenschneider is the sole recipient honored in the Heath Care & Life Sciences category;

In its profile, Bloomberg Law highlights Riemenschneider's recent career successes on behalf of more than two dozen life sciences companies in her work on COVID-19 countermeasure funding and support. Using her niche skill set that "focuses on the IP issues that arise in US government contracting," she was uniquely situated to advise companies in negotiations with government agencies including NIH, NCI, BARDA, NIAID and DoD. Riemenschneider told the publication that her work related to COVID-19 is one of her proudest achievements as a lawyer, particularly because the deals ";were among the most high-stress of [her] career, given the world's singular focus on ending the pandemic."

Though Riemenschneider specializes in life sciences license and collaboration agreements, her practice spans the full spectrum of commercial transactions and engages with all aspects of the biopharmaceutical product lifecycle. She represents companies in their most significant license and collaboration transactions, from research-stage, multi-target platform deals to single-product development deals, on behalf of both licensee and licensor.
