DEP Invites Comments On Proposed CNX Midstream Project To Expose Natural Gas, Water Pipelines To Prevent Longwall Mining Damage In Washington County

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the December 2 PA Bulletin inviting comments on a proposed CNX Midstream project to expose two 10-inch natural gas pipelines and one 12-inch fresh water pipeline in Morris Township, Washington County to prevent damage from underground longwall coal mining.  [

The proposed Chapter 105 permit would cover the exposure of approximately 2,930 feet of the Morris to Nineveh Jumper Pipelines.  The exposure is anticipated to last approximately one year and result in impacts to wetlands, a floodway and Lick Run.
