PA Oil & Gas Industrial Facilities: Permit Notices/Opportunities To Comment - August 12

The following DEP notices were published in the
August 12 PA Bulletin related to oil and gas industry facilities.  Many of the notices offer the opportunity for public comments.

-- The Department of Environmental Protection is now accepting public comments on two Chapter 105 encroachment applications submitted by Olympus Energy/Hyperion Midstream LLC covering natural gas gathering pipelines and water pipelines in Westmoreland County, according to public notices in the August 12 PA Bulletin.  Read more here.

        -- Project Part I: Olympus/Hyperion is proposing 8.5 miles of 30-inch natural gas gathering pipeline and a  16-inch permanent waterline between the Rogers Compression Station and the Athena shale gas well pad.   (PA Bulletin, page 5037)

The project is located in Upper Burrell and Washington Townships, Westmoreland County.

        -- Project Part II: Olympus/Hyperion is proposing 8.4 miles of 30-inch natural gas gathering pipeline and a 16-inch permanent waterline between the Athena shale gas well pad and the proposed Odyssey Interconnect Site.   (PA Bulletin, page 5038)

-- Chesapeake Appalachia LLC - Folta Shale Gas Well Pad: DEP received a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with production wastewater for the well pad located in Tuscarora Twp., Bradford County.  (PA Bulletin, page 5053)

-- PennEnergy Resources, LLC - Dorsch Unit Shale Gas Site: DEP received a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Xylene, Sec-butyl Benzene, Tert-butyl Benzene, Cyclo- hexane, 1,2,4-Trimethylbenzene (‘‘1,2,4-TMB’’), 1,3,5-Trim- thylbenzene (‘‘1,3,5-TMB’’), Cumene, Naphthalene, Acenaphthene, Anthracene, Benzo(a)anthracene, Benzo(b)- fluoranthene, Benzo(g,h,i) Perylene, Chrysene, Fluoranthene, Fluorene, Indeno(1,2,3-c,d)pyrene, 2-Methylnapthalene, Phenanthrene, Pyrene, 1,1 Biphenyl, and Phenol (‘‘Condensate List of Parameters’’); Aluminum, Barium, Boron, Chloride, Iron, Lithium, Manganese, Strontium, Vanadium, Zinc, and Selenium (‘‘Brine List of Parameters’’) located in Lancaster Twp., Butler County.   (PA Bulletin, page 5054)

-- NG Advantage, LLC - Compressor Engines: DEP issued an Air Quality Plan Approval for the facility located in Springville Twp., Susquehanna County. (PA Bulletin, page 5057)

-- EQM Gathering OPCO, LLC - Wind Ridge Compressor Station: DEP issued an Air Quality Plan Approval for various air pollution sources, including a pigging operation, at the facility located in Richhill Twp., Greene County.  (PA Bulletin, page 5057)

-- EQM Gathering OPCO, LLC - Ten Mile Compressor Station: DEP issued an Air Quality Plan Approval for various air pollution sources, including a pigging operation, at the facility located in Franklin Twp., Greene County.  (PA Bulletin, page 5057)

-- Assai Energy LLC - Non-enclosed Landfill Gas Flare System: DEP issued an Air Quality Plan Approval for the system located at the Keystone Landfill in Throop Borough, Lackawanna County.  (PA Bulletin, page 5057)

-- Eureka Resources LLC - Oil/Gas Wastewater Treatment Facility: DEP issued an Air Quality Plan Approval extension [date not published] for the facility located in Dimock Twp., Susquehanna County.  (PA Bulletin, page 5057)

-- Adelphia Gateway, LLC - Quakertown Compressor Station: DEP issued an Air Quality Plan Approval extension [date not published] for the facility located in West Rockhill Twp., Bucks County.  (PA Bulletin, page 5058)
