NIA Will Hold 2023 Symposium on December 5, 2023

The Nanotechnology Industries Association (NIA) will hold its 2023 Symposium on December 5, 2023. Open to the public, the agenda for the Symposium includes:

• Welcome and Introduction: Sean Kelly, Director General (Interim), NIA;

• The current state of the global nano industry: The NIA now and in the future: Landon Mertz, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Cerion Nanomaterials and Chair of the NIA Board;

• Creating the right regulatory environment for nanomaterial innovation in the European Union (EU) and United States: Blanca Suarez-Merino, Director of Regulatory Affairs, NIA, in conversation with Alex Stanton, Team Leader, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA); Andrej Kobe, Policy Officer, European Commission (EC); and Jo-Anne Shatkin, President, Vireo Advisors;

• Global leadership in next generation materials innovation: Supporting the advanced and nano-materials industry in the United States and EU: Sean Kelly, Director General (Interim), NIA, in conversation with Branden Brough, Director, National Nanotechnology Coordination Office (NNCO); Amaya Igartua, Coordinator of European Actions in Materials, TEKNIKER and Core Team, AMI2030; and Selina Ambrose, Product Market Manager, Promethean Particles; and
