DEP Hosts 8th Round Of State Water Plan Regional Committee Meetings Starting Jan. 11

The Plan update, required every five years by Act 220 of 2002, serves as a policy and guidance document providing information, objectives, priorities and recommendations to be considered in a broad range of state, local and private water resource decisions.

Another goal of the Plan update is to review and finalize Critical Area Resource Plans in the Potomac and Ohio regions that were left unfinished during the 2009 update.

Meeting Schedule

The advisory committee meetings will be held in-person in the 16th Floor Delaware Room of the Rachel Carson Building in Harrisburg--

-- January 11: Delaware Regional Water Resource Committee. 9:00 a.m.

-- January 12: Lower Susquehanna Regional Water Resource Committee. 9:00 a.m

-- January 13: Potomac Regional Water Resource Committee. 1:00 p.m.

-- January 25: Ohio Regional Water Resource Committee. 1:00 p.m.

-- January 26: Great Lakes Regional Water Resource Committee. 9:00 a.m.

-- January 27: Upper/Middle Susquehanna Regional Water Resource Committee. 9:00 p.m.

The next Statewide Water Resources Committee meeting will be held January 19 in Room 105 Rachel Carson Building in Harrisburg starting at 9:00 a.m.
