SB 893 allows any interest in a farm implement to be transferred without probate to a designated beneficiary. Info here.

SB 882 requires each water management district governing board to develop a list of critical wetlands for acquisition using funds from the Land Acquisition Trust Fund, and requires each board to consider certain criteria when including wetlands on the list and to notify owners of property contemplated to be included on the list. KANSAS

SB 261 prohibits the use of identifiable meat terms on the labels of meat analogs when such labels do not include proper qualifying language to indicate that such products do not contain meat. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY

Proposed rule to add Chitosan to the list of active ingredients permitted in exempted minimum risk pesticide products. EPA is announcing the availability of and is soliciting comment on data related to the aquatic toxicity of chitosan salts. Info here.

Notice in accordance with the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), EPA is issuing a notice of receipt of a request by a registrant to voluntarily cancel a certain pesticide registration. Info here.

FARM SERVICE AGENCY

Notice announcing the availability of $50 million for the new Cotton and Wool Apparel Program, which will support the domestic markets for wool and Pima cotton by assisting eligible apparel manufacturers of men’s and boys’ worsted wool suits, sport coats, pants, or Pima cotton dress shirts; Pima cotton spinners; and wool fabric manufacturers and wool spinners.
