AGRICULTURAL MARKETING SERVICE

Proposed rule proposing amendments to the National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances (National List) section of the USDA’s organic regulations to implement recommendations submitted to the Secretary of Agriculture (Secretary) by the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB). This rule proposes the removal from the National List of several substances currently allowed for various uses in organic crop production, livestock production, and manufacture of processed products. Proposed rule announcing the Agency’s receipt of initial filings of pesticide petitions requesting the establishment or modification of regulations for residues of pesticide chemicals in or on various commodities. Info here.

FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE

Final rule announcing that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service), are listing the Franklin’s bumblebee (Bombus franklini), an invertebrate species from Douglas, Jackson, and Josephine Counties in Oregon, and Siskiyou and Trinity Counties in California, as an endangered species under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended (Act). FOREIGN AGRICULTURAL SERVICE

Notice announcing that the Office of the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (the Secretary) is providing notice of an increase in the fiscal year (FY) 2021 raw cane sugar tariff-rate quota (TRQ) of 90,100 metric tons raw value (MTRV) and an extension of the TRQ entry period. UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE

Notice announcing that the U.S Codex Office is sponsoring a public meeting on August 31, 2021. The objective of the public meeting is to provide information and receive public comments on agenda items and draft United States (U.S.) positions to be discussed at the 35th Session of the Codex Committee on Fish and Fishery Products (CCFFP) of the Codex Alimentarius Commission, which will meet by correspondence during the period of September 20-October 20, 2021 with report adoption on October 25, 2021.
