Section 14 of Senate Bill 582 d irects DEQ and the EMC to replace the current general permit (in effect since December 1, 2021) with the previous version of NCG530000. Reverting to the earlier permit will eliminate water quality monitoring requirements for nitrogen and phosphorus that were added to the permit in 2021.
