PARS Environmental, Inc. Announces Joint Venture with Verina Consulting Group, LLC

Robbinsville, NJ (September 18, 2020) – PARS Environmental, Inc. (“PARS”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Montrose Environmental Group, Inc., and Verina Consulting Group, LLC (“VERINA”), are pleased to announce the approval of the VERINA-PARS Joint Venture (the “JV”) by the U.S. Small Business Administration (“SBA”)  under the SBA’s 8(a) business development (“BD”) program.  PARS and VERINA had previously established an SBA approved Mentor-Protégé Agreement, with PARS serving as the Mentor and Verina as the protégé.  The two firms have an established working relationship dating back to 2017, and have executed numerous projects together for the federal government and clients in the private sector. The JV will be headquartered in Bridgewater, NJ, and will provide innovative and cost-effective solutions for multi-disciplinary environmental, remediation, industrial hygiene and engineering projects throughout the U.S.

The SBA 8(a) BD program is an ownership/diversity certification sponsored by the SBA, which is intended to assist organizations that are owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. PARS is committed to supporting Verina in the development of its programs as part of the mentoring process, thereby allowing Verina to comply with federal government and prime contractor requirements. The certification enables the approved JV to bid on federal government contracts that are set aside for small, disadvantaged businesses.

VERINA has participated in the SBA 8(a) BD Program since 2018 and was awarded its first federal contract from Army Corps of Engineers in 2019.  PARS previously participated in the SBA’s 8(a) BD program from 2004 to 2013. Under this program, PARS was awarded several contracts by federal government agencies, including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the General Services Administration, and the U.S. Department of the Interior, and has successfully completed thousands of multi-disciplinary environmental tasks throughout the U.S.
